THE BIKE

The bike is a thing of extraordinary joy

To some it is transport, to others a toy

To me it’s a place where best notions are had

A place where i’ve only ever been glad

The bike will take you to the places unseen

It will insist you explore where you’ve never been

The sun on your face and the smell of the air

Gliding downhill with the wind in your hair

There’s times when its tough and uphill for miles

But the view from the top will guarantee smiles

There’s times when it’s easy and the legs feel strong

When your mind is just filled with the words of a song

Sometimes its raining and your caught without gear

Then its into the bus stop and wait’ till it’s clear

Sometimes its only for the papers or rolls

For some its a chance to conquer both  poles

Whatever your plans, there’s no better spend

A bike will hang in the garage and it’s always your friend

Now we all go to places and see things that we like,

But they look ten times better….. If you’ve travelled by bike!!!!!!!!!
